Customer Reviews:
Lamello biscuits review November 18, 2008 Lee F. Howland (Sterling Heights, Michigan USA) Several years ago, I wondered if my Porter-Cable biscuit joiner was wearing out. I started checking the Porter-Cable biscuits that I had with a micrometer. The biscuit thicknesses were all over the place. Not very consistent. Lamello biscuits are consistently the same thickness every time I pick one up. I don't worry about loose joints anymore. They work good and I will continue using them.
A good biscuit June 12, 2008 Michael Miron (Bessemer, MI) These Lamello biscuits are pretty good. As a professional woodworker go through a few thousand of these things a year and so far these are the best I've used. There is some slight variation in thickness and occasionally one will be too tight to fit into the slot with hand pressure alone... however the variation is probably a result of the compression process and may in fact be unavoidable. The best part though is that NONE of the biscuits have splinters! The entire biscuit is smooth and the edges seem to be sanded. The last box of Porter Cable biscuits I used had splinters that stuck out (caused by the compression process), and these splinters would catch on the edge of the joint and actually prevent the joint from closing tightly... as a result I had to hand inspect each one (quite a pain when using thousands of them) These Lamello ones do not have that problem and I can grab them right out of the box and put them in the slots.
